The vineyard surrounding the château is situated on one of the best gravelly hilltops to be found between Margaux and St Julien Beychevelle, near the river, which makes it an exceptional quality growing area with deep, well drained soil. From the 2004 vintage, which is a medium-weight year drinking now, it shows spicy dried-flower aromas with blacucurrant fruit. Drinking now-2018.

Lovely plummy, rich fruit and a soft, rounded finish show the quality of this wine. It is drinking well now but will happily mature in bottle for another 5-7 years.
-
A smooth, velvety wine that offers characteristic plum fruits and spice with an elusive hint of rustic earthiness and typical truffle aromas.
